Project Description
The award-winning Gilbert Road Light Rail Extension Project is a 1.9-mile extension of the 20.3-mile starter line which extended the light rail transit system on Main Street from Mesa Drive to Gilbert Road in the City of Mesa, helping to address growing transit demand in the thriving East Valley. The Project includes the first roundabout at Horne and Main Street for VMR, a station at Stapley Drive, and a transit center with bus service and a park-and-ride at Gilbert Road. PGH Wong provided Project Management and Construction Management Services including Systems Integration Testing, Startup, and Commissioning as part of the Project and Construction Management Contract awarded to PGH Wong by Valley Metro Rail in 2011.
