Project Description

As part of the High-Capacity Rapid Transit System, the West Section Construction Engineering & Inspection Project is being built to alleviate traffic along the congested east-west transportation corridor between Kapolei and the University of Hawaii.  The total travel time from the terminal station on the west end of the alignment to the Honolulu Airport International Station is estimated at 26 minutes.  The aerial guideway spans across a major 10-lane highway involving extensive coordination with HDOT.  PGH Wong provides the full spectrum of pre-construction support and construction management functions for the Honolulu Rail Transit Project.
