Project Description

The MetroLink Green Line Project is a 5.7mile at-grade, doubletrack light rail extension of the St. Louis’s MetroLink Light Rail System. Running east and west along Natural Bridge Road, and north and south along Jefferson Avenue, the new line will serve the northside and southside populations of the City of St. Louis. Planned rail corridor improvements include street widening within the existing public rightofway, new curb and gutter, sidewalk, landscaping, reconfiguration of street intersections, and extensive utility relocation for the new rail corridor.

Key Features

  • 5.7-mile street-running extension through an urbanized city corridor crossing two interstate highways.
  • 10 new stations and a transfer station connecting riders to the existing Metro Blue and Red Lines.
  • This transformative project will connect residents to growing job centers in Downtown West and Midtown, educational opportunities, and healthcare services while driving community investment.
