Project Description
The Central Phoenix/East Valley Light Rail Transit Project is a 20.3-mile Starter Line connecting the Cities of Phoenix, Mesa, and Tempe. The Project includes 28 passenger stations, 8 park-and-ride facilities, and a bridge over Tempe Town Lake. Since its opening, the system has served as an environmentally friendly alternative for passengers to travel between Arizona State University, Chase Field, and Downtown Phoenix. As Prime Construction Manager in joint venture, PGH Wong’s scope of work included the full range of construction management services including resident engineering, inspection services, constructability reviews, quality assurance program, coordination, cost estimates, scheduling, budget and schedule impact analyses, claims analyses, right-of-way, archaeological investigations, owner-furnished materials management, rail system integration and testing services, and rail activation.
