Project Description
PGH Wong, as Prime Consultant, is providing Construction Management Services on the 10-mile Silicon Valley Berryessa Extension which is part of the Silicon Valley Rapid Transit (SVRT) Program. In addition, PGH Wong is the Lead Prime Consultant in a joint venture for the systems design of the Silicon Valley Rapid Transit (SVRT) Program. This major 16.3-mile extension will extend the San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit System from Warm Springs BART Station to the Cities of Milpitas, San Jose, and Santa Clara. The projected opening day ridership is approximately 23,000 average weekday riders. Systems elements include high-voltage substations, traction power, train control, tunnel/station emergency ventilation, line electrical, communications, computer hardware, and software.
